As classic a Malbec as you can get. Both on the nose and on the palette, it could only be one thing. Ditto for the eyes as the classic violet taste in the mouth is reflected in the colour of the wine.
Good Malbec isn’t cheap anymore and there’s plenty of bad cheap Malbec out there too. But this is strong on quality and value for £12. If you’ve heard the hype and want to know what a Malbec is like, then get a good steak and grab a bottle of this from the shelf.
This is very much a reference point Argentinian Malbec from Mendoza, it’s a strong 7 on the WES-ometer, and well worth a look.
