Earlier in the summer we had a lovely visit with the folks at Chapel Down, England’s largest wine producer. Around 1 in 5 bottles of English wine sold is from Chapel Down, roughly half of which are still and half sparkling, and they’ve got one of the broadest ranges around.
In the video, we share some highlights from our interview with their talented Head Winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire. We also have some photos and audio from the comprehensive tour and tasting with Suzy Ioannides. And, naturally, our signature drone footage lets you see Chapel Down from the air.
Once back at WinedUp Towers, Campbell turbo-reviews the six wines we tasted on our visit. Next, he tastes their new cider and lager, as well as three more wines. Finally, we give you our overall impressions of the place, people and wine. We conclude with a strong recommendation both to seek out their wine and to visit them in Tenterden, Kent, if you get the chance.
